Program
8 premieres under the heading COMMON SENSES shift perspectives and reflect the status quo of our social interactions. Guests from philosophy and science stimulate our thinking with impulses. You can also expect a “kiosk of unfulfilled wishes”, a floating light-space installation, bar, music, DJs and appetizers in the Discourse Kitchen.
Audience members can experience several short monologues and specials in close succession each evening – we recommend day tickets for the best festival experience.

Manuela Zechner has canceled her participation in the 2023 Monologfestival “…to point out the void created by “My Dangerous Poem” not being presented in this years festival and in solidarity with all Palestinian voices who are currently being deprived of their language space and living space. We are increasingly feeling the ecological crisis, also with and in its social dimension. What “common sense” do we need to break through to finally enable real change? How can we position ourselves to create radical common sense?
In this impulse, Manuela Zechner builds on her work on Earthcare, micropolitics, and subjectivity to reflect on burning questions and play through them together for a moment.
For those who want to learn more about her research field and theses beforehand, you can read her exciting contribution in the Berliner Gazette from 2022 “Vulnerability of Coexistence: Towards a Radical Politics of Earthcare”.
The impulse lasts about 30 minutes.

Manuela Zechner moves between research, education and art. She is currently working and organizing on Care and Earthcare, ecological crisis, micropolitics, and the possibility of transformative learning. She co-founded the Common Ecologies School, produces the Earthcare podcast, and has directed the Future Archive since 2005.
